9 May – LHBT hosts free Building Futures training workshop

London Historic Buildings Trust (LHBT) are delighted to offer this FREE training session for groups, individuals, charities, in the boroughs of Brent, Camden and Westminster who are developing, or considering, a heritage project.

Building Futures is aimed at those who are new to developing heritage projects. The training will introduce the process of developing a strong, viable and sustainable heritage project with outcomes for both people and heritage. The training will touch upon key project development elements such as understanding the value of value, community engagement, viability, environmental sustainability, governance, and project processes involved such as utilising professionals, timescales, and permissions.

We will also be explaining applying to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and the grants on offer, as well as other funding opportunities for heritage projects. 

The workshop is FREE, and will be delivered 10.30-15.00 on Tuesday 9 May 2023 at the Tin Tabernacle in Kilburn, Brent.

Lunch will be supplied. 

Booking for the event is essential, as spaces are limited.

About Building Futures:

Building Futures is LHBT’s new in-person training initiative, aimed at bringing essential and bespoke advice and guidance on developing viable, socially-focussed heritage projects to London’s communities. The programme will be moving around the London boroughs, so please sign up to our mailing list to make sure you don’t miss any upcoming sessions that might be coming to your local area. 

 

So far, we have delivered Building Futures in:

  • Edmonton, Enfield – for projects and groups in the boroughs of Enfield, Haringey, and Hackney.
