Our People

Delivering high quality projects.

Our small team of dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure that we successfully deliver the multiple projects that we have underway at any one time.

Mark Hosea

Chief Executive

In May 2025 Mark joined the Trust from the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, where he was Director of Estates and Conservation. He has the lead role in ensuring the development and delivery of our strategic direction and business planning.  This includes oversight across all our operations and developing new partnerships and maintaining existing ones.  Mark has held Project Director roles at Canterbury Cathedral and York Minster.  He has also worked in the private sector advising multiple clients across England.  Mark is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Planning and Development) with an MSc in Urban Regeneration. He is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers, Chair of The York Glaziers Trust and a Trustee of the Stained Glass Museum.

Hannah Southgate

Project Manager

Since 2015, Hannah has been working in the heritage sector, focusing on saving at-risk historic buildings for the benefit of local communities. She first worked for The Prince’s Regeneration Trust before becoming a freelance heritage consultant and project manager in 2018, with a particular specialism in developing and delivering heritage projects for historic places of worship. Hannah joined the Trust in 2021 and works across multiple projects. She leads on our High Street Heritage Action Zone activity and community training programmes. Hannah holds an MSc in Historic Environment Conservation, and an MA in Medieval History.

Heloise Palin

Project Manager

Heloise Palin joined LHBT in March 2025. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the heritage sector, having started her working life as a Conservation Adviser at the Victorian Society. Subsequent roles traversed the public and private sector, including the role of Conservation Officer at the London Borough of Enfield and working as a Heritage Consultant at Alan Baxter Ltd.

Most recently Heloise has worked for the Spitalfields Trust, a long-standing building preservation trust.

Rebecca Ross

Finance Lead

Rebecca joined the Trust in May 2025 as Finance Lead and brings with her nearly 25 years’ worth of experience from the private and not-for profit sectors. Rebecca is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has spent the last 15 years as Finance Director of a children’s cancer charity where she was responsible for the financial oversight of the organisation, along with governance, HR and company secretarial matters. Prior to that, Rebecca worked in practice at Deloitte and PwC  as well as in the private sector within the travel industry.

This is Rebecca’s first role within the heritage sector but having worked in the international development sector for the past 15 years, she is looking forward to bringing experience from that to the Trust. At LHBT, Rebecca is responsible for the financial management of the charity and will be working closely with the project managers to deliver the Trust’s work.
