LONDON HISTORIC BUILDINGS TRUST – SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (MATERNITY COVER)
Salary: £38,000-42,000 FTE
Hours: Full-time, or a minimum of 4 days/week considered
Contract: Full-time (although 4 days a week is a possibility)
Location: Home-based, with one day/week in central London plus site visits and meetings as required
Closing Date: 27 September 2026
Interviews: w/c 5 October
The Senior Project Manager (Maternity Cover) will be involved and lead on various regeneration projects where the Trust is either delivering a project itself or is supporting, on an advisory basis, another organisation to deliver a project. The Trust works closely with Historic England to identify buildings on the Heritage at Risk Register that would benefit from LHBT involvement, and this work will identify local and national priorities and opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders, organisations, bodies, funders and partners, who can support and maximise delivery of LHBT objectives.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for sharing LHBT’s skills and knowledge via workshops, talks and advice, including leading on the development of the trust’s community training and peer-to-peer programmes. The role will require close working with communities, local authorities and other partners to develop projects and activities that respond to identified needs and engage new audiences.
As this is maternity cover, the successful candidate will take over existing projects and lead the activation of new ones. This fixed-term contract will run for the duration of the substantive postholder’s maternity leave and is expected to end when they return to work, or when the fixed term expires, whichever is sooner.
